Lutheran Youth Organization of Southeastern Pennsylvania

Our Mission Statement: Called by Christ, as the Lutheran Youth Organization of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, it is our mission to share God’s saving grace and represent all youth by providing opportunities for spiritual growth.

Elections for the Lutheran Youth Organization Board for our synod will be taking place this winter. The following conference representatives will for sure be elected at the LYO Convention on February 22nd – Lower Bucks, Lower Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Central Philadelphia, NW Philadelphia/Olney and Upper Bucks.  We are also looking for nominations for the positions of Secretary, Synod Council Youth Representative, Diversity Representative and Definitely-Abled Representative. PLEASE lift up young leaders in your congregation for these positions. Nomination forms for non-conference rep positions are due by Tuesday, February 17th, 2009 to Molly Beck Dean, mbeck@sepa.org or 506 Haws Ave, Norristown PA 19401. Nomination materials will be available soon at www.sepayouth.org.

 

The annual Lutheran Youth Organization Convention will occur Sunday, February 22nd at 8:15 a.m. at the Dolce Hotel in King of Prussia. Breakfast will be provided for delegates. Even if your congregation is not attending the FLY Gathering, you can send two delegates to the convention. If this is the case, please contact Jessica, jmcalister@sepa.org, to register your delegates for the convention. Delegates are encouraged to submit resolutions for the convention to consider.
